ATactical A1S Ultimate Flashlight Review

Doing a review of the ATactical A1S flashlight. It survived all the test and lived up to the name of ATactical.

 Brightness settings:
  • 24 lumens
  • 140 lumens
  • 460 lumens
  • 1,150 lumens
  • strobe: 1,150 lumens
The flashlight has a setting where it flashes SOS in morse code.

Fig Tree Organic Fertilizer Experiment

For some reason my fig trees just are not growing. I suspect it is from the sandy soil so I need to add nutrients.

Rather than mulching around the tree, I am going to mix up some organic liquid fertilizer.

The fig trees are in the chicken yard and they would just spread any mulch.

In a month or so I will make another video on how the tree is doing.

Travtac Oynx Concealed Carry Bag Review

Review of the Travtac Oynx slingpack that has plenty of concealed carry. Overall, I am enjoying the pack a great deal. I love that the shoulder strap is in the middle and can be carried on the right or left shoulder. I also love that the side strap is not fixed and can be adjusted.

The webbing on the sides allows for the attachment of canteens and other MOLLE gear.  For a dayhike I attached two MOLLE canteen pouches.  One for a canteen and the other for a dump bag.

Heavy equipment to clear debris

Over the past few months I have been working on clearing small trees and other brush to fence in a few acres. Thankfully I was able to bring in some heavy equipment front end loader to move the heavy limbs and brush. A day and a half was spoiled because of the rain, but otherwise we got a lot done. Lot more left to do, but hopefully will be running fence this summer.

Germinating Decade Old Seeds

When I made a video about stockpiling seeds, there were some comments about how savings seeds in the freezer would not work. I decided to test it out myself.

I took some seeds out that were 10 years old and been kept in the freezer. Using my own process, I was able to get the seeds to germinate.

So yes, preppers can save seeds in the freezer for a long time.
