Are You Tired Of Winning?

For everyone who was worried about how Donald Trump was going to do as president, and for everyone who voted for Hillary, you’re welcome.  You are welcome because the fly-over states did not believe Hillary.

We voted for someone who would fulfill Obama’s failed promises of hope and change.
Why didn’t we vote for Hillary?  Because we saw through her lies.  Let’s take equal pay for women as an example.  Hillary promised, when she is elected president, women would make as much as men.  Well, we already have the equal pay act of 1963.  So what was Hillary going to do, pass a law to enforce a law?

During the 2016 elections, Democrats were playing their age old agenda of tell a lie until people believe it.  Guess what, it didn’t work.

Democrats, You’re Welcome For:

ISIS almost destroyed.

Iran being called out on its weapons development.

Stock Market reaching all time high.

Renegotiating trade deals.  Rumors have it President Trump will pull the United States out of NAFTA.  Think the U.S. economy is good now?  Getting rid of NAFTA will make construction and jobs skyrocket.  No more exploiting cheap labor in Central America.

Keystone pipeline approved.

Individual mandate of the Affordable Health Care Act repealed.  A great win for individual liberties.
Social Security gun ban repealed.  The ban was a direct violation of a persons right to due process, as a government agency could deny someone their right to own a gun.  It’s not like the Obama administration cared about due process anyway.  If the administration cared about rights, the assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki would never of happened.

Lowered taxes.  Some people may be upset companies got a tax break.  Who creates jobs?  Companies.  How many people who got bonuses for Christmas will remember those bonuses during the 2018 mid-term elections?

Toyota, Mazda to build $1.6 billion plant in Alabama.

Sanctions slapped on Bombardier. Which means we are protecting our jobs.

Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Many presidents talked about doing this, but none had the balls to do it.

Suspended at least $900 million in aid to Pakistan. Seems the government of Pakistan did not want to address terrorism, so President Trump cut their money. Good, we can use that money to fund infrastructure here in the U.S.

How many low income young people could be put through college with that $900 million?
Suspended Aid to UN Agency Dealing with Palestinian. If Palestinian is not willing to come to the peace table with Israel, they do not need our money.

Putting pressure on North Korea.

Final Thoughts

We have a president who is not afraid to speak the truth.  That may upset some people, but it gains him favor with others.  We have not had a President like Trump in a long time.  The honest truth is the people are not use to someone speaking their mind.  Politically correct agenda says leaders should tip-toe around peoples feelings.  Well, that does not get us anywhere.

Are we tired of winning yet?  Not by a long shot.

I am waiting on Trump to address the trade imbalance with China.

Plans for 2012

As I look forward to 2012, there are certain things that come to mind.

As in previous years, one of my goals is to get in shape and lose weight - like the majority of most people. At 43 years old I am probably the worst shape of my life. I blame my own laziness and my office job.

When I was working in the welding field, I was on my feet for 8 - 12 hours a day doing hard physical labor. Keeping the weight off was pretty easy when you are walking several miles a day.

Something that puts the pounds on is drinking, and I can drink a good bit sometimes. When a beer has 150 calories, drinking 3 or 4 in one night can really add up the calories.

At christmas my nephew asked when we were going on another hiking trip. The thing is, I am so bad out of shape, going on a 9+ mile tip would be rough, very rough.

I guess I need to get down to the park to walk a few laps.

Changes in the world

With the sopa act, its become clear that big business runs the US government.

North korea had a change of leadership

Hopefully we are going to have a new president elected in 2012. The worst thing that can happen is if obama gets reelected.

Guantanamo Bay is still open where people are being held without due process of law.

The federal reserve is still printing money out of thin air.

The US government has borrowed more money then the tax payers can ever hope to payback.

Tensions with Iran are on the rise (as usual).

The US manufacturing base is depleted.

China now has the US manufacturing base.

The average US citizen probably does not realize how dependent we are on other nations. Flooding in Taiwan made the prices of hard drives double. It makes me wonder what would happen if we went to war with china, or if a nuke was detonated in a major US city.

What has me worried is the change of leadership in north korea. Some 20 year old young man now holds the key to nuclear weapons.

Climate change

One thing that really has me worried in the Texas drought. Some predictions say the south could be in for another 10 years of drought. If we think the price of food is bad now, add 2 or 3 years of lost crops into the equation.

My wife and I try to stock up on can goods when they go on sale. One of the plans for 2012 is to keep stocking up on food whenever possible.

February and March should tell us if we are in for another dry year. If we do not get rain in March, we are probably in for a rough ride for the summer of 2012.
